This belief has led to a number of myths surrounding SEO, which further prevents many business owners to learn from SEO skills and leveraging Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)for their brand.

1. SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) doesn’t work

SEO training doesn’t work? The number 1 driver of traffic to websites is the search engine with Google sending more than 90% of this traffic worldwide. 2. I don’t need an SEO training course, I can get a plugin for that!

Nope you can’t. You can use plugins that will help with SEO, but you can’t get a plugin to research your industry, conduct competitive research, find the best keywords, optimise your site, build links and evaluate the results. 

3. An SEO training course is too expensive

Do you really believe that an SEO training course is too expensive? You need to remember here that a professional SEO expert knows how to optimise your site for the serps. They keep on top of Google’s multitude of changes to their algorithms and do a lot more than just fix up your Meta tags. As alluded to above, an SEO professional will really help to optimise your marketing campaign, whether that is for organic searches or even for PPC.  You pay for what you get – remember? Learn from quality SEO training course. SEO training course is a smart business investment. Your money is well spent on an SEO training course.

4. I can think about SEO at a later date

Nope. Well you can, but in the meantime your website is sitting in the doldrums ranking on page 100 of the serps. If you don’t bother to include SEO when you build your site, it can take a lot more time to come up to speed and fix all of the problems created by ignoring SEO in the first place.

5. SEO can sell anything

An SEO training course can help to increase traffic. The SEO training course will help you learn how to  increase sales and conversions for your website, but it doesn’t sell anything itself. This myth seems to hedge around the idea that if you optimise your site for the search engines, you can sell any old product even if it is not much good. Well SEO doesn’t work like that – it will help to bring in traffic, it won’t sell something no one wants anyway.
